Balance is important always. But especially in winter with its unpredictable and often slippery surfaces. Also because winter is travel season for many of us and travel comes with its own set of balance challenges: cobblestones, uneven stairs, distractions. Sometimes there's nothing to hold onto and just as often our hands are otherwise occupied with luggage, packs, bags, guides, maps, apps and so on.
